"aim of life","the best goal","real satifaction"--these are some of the common topics u must have come across in magzines, books or in web.some thing same with me,after going through them all i've cooked out some thing .try having it with an open mind.

At our age(20-21) 99% of peoples have materialistic goals. Materialistic!! That is good, good 2 see, good to sound, it’s good because it is common to all.it gives us a better social acceptance. How do we set a goal? What we see as the most fascinating thing or most impressive person near us or something that our parents keep imposing into our minds, which becomes our goal. It is very generally money making—earning a Rolls Royce, a Hardly Davidson, establishing a mnc, becoming a millionaire billionaire and more. The world is very big.
What is a best goal? Peoples aiming for material achievements think money or matter would enable them to get everything in there life. Such peoples have every pomp and blow. But very often at boundaries of their life they complain for peace. Overall they lead a disturbed life, end up unsatisfied.
Let me take you to a millionaires world by a simple example. You could then yourself discover my purpose
lets try to extrapolate our
(present time, small happiness) to our (future time, big dreams) to know the extent of our happiness. dreams are dependent on time. they are inversely proportional to your age.they become more realistic as you grow up.
let
initial coordinate be (present time, small dream(getting a mobile))
end coordinate as (future time, big dreams(getting a rolls royce)).

i would compare a 10 crore car with a 50thousand mobile set.i hope this comparision to be ample.since both are materials, both are to be buyed by paying money, both would give a feeling that we are havin a new and different thing that others dont have, increased dignity, both have finite functions integrated in them to give us pleasure, both degrade with time(time of degradation may differ).
now let us assume that we are ready to buy our above declared mobile within a month.a great,a fantacy, dreams, plannings engulf our mind from months before the purchase date.finally the purchase date comes and the mobile was bought. u open the cover in a great hurry insert the sim and turn it on.oooo the facination ends as the mobile light glows.and as the days go on .as you go on using the functions given in it.one day it becomes as common to you as your pocket diary.you just throw it on your bed after returning from your college.
again !whats in facination now,a new mobile !! with some added features, some more cost.and which is to get the same fate.
our extrapolation principle tells us that we are to get some similar situation with the roylse royse in future.then whats the difference between getting a roylse royse or a small mobile.if they have the same fate.
coming back to the question of satisfaction.the state of being unsatisfied prevails in both cases.
other option that we have is that ---to have a friend a girl,a boy or a pet.now dont you think that your friend or your pet needs to be a big encyclopedia or must know million millions of tricks to please you all through your life.so that you must achieve him/it as the aim of your life.
now we have discarded more than half of the world in search of aim of life.in other words,we have discarded 98% of world in search of 100%satisfaction(aim).
just passing near by a library rack i thought to give a chance to spirituality.a science student getting satisfaction by spirituality sounds freak, but whats the harm in giving a trial.i browsed through outline of books by greatest maestroes, biggest books of some religions.as a whole somethings called "self realisation","knowledge of god","attainment of godliness" were prescribed to be aim of life.freak i know myself verywell than anybody else in this world, then what really is self realisation.
after some more study i conclude it means study/knowledge of happenings around yourself and pretty control overthem (achived by sanyasis etc.).It is the Truth of all truths, the God in us, the supreme Being and ultimate Reality. Therefore, by Self-knowledge, or Self-realisation, we mean the knowledge, or the realisation, of that highest and greatest Reality in us which is God. Any person who knows this divine Self knows God, and who realises the Self realises God.in nut shell its to know everything about something(else it would be nothing.)this definition matches more or less with definition of what we read.i mean phy, chem, bio, mech, material science, fluid mechanics, medical sciences(these all are study of matter).we study matter around us.

one can argue that a painter,a singer,a player have aim of life as becoming a top painter,a great singer or a good player etc.i never deny these aims because these peoples do try get the fullest knowledge of their respective field,a specialisation.these things do make our surrounding, a painter tries to get knowledge of colours around us and then invents new pictures,a singers gets the knowledge of sounds around us and comes with most beautiful tone that he/she can come with.
an experiment :try giving one of your entire day(or a week) in studies and one more day(or week) u try to waste in listening music/watching t.v/ boredome.analyse your feelings at the end of day(or week).be honest to yourself.you would definitely feel the day(/week) used in studies as giving better thoughts that the other day(week).learning is something inheritent in human beings. I mean by default human beings have a character to learn and succeed in their respective fields. yes success is also a mandatory(might be late).
Now it is proved that ultimate aim of every ones life must be acquiring knowledge in a field of his interest, failing which his life would end with a sense of dissatisfaction and emptiness.
Hence Aim of life = "persuit for knowledge".
After rereading this post...having some experience in life.i find this is wonderful that i thought of it ...must early.i Add today ... becoming a billionare is important..unlike i said earlier..but yes finally what you became in the process of becoming a billionare is important and not the money you earned.Hence what education you got in the process is more important.
ReplyDeleteAnd becoming a billionare is important because you cant lose what you dont have.a beggar cant take retreat from billions.because unless he earns it he cant get devoid of it.There is no meaning for a beggar to go to jungle for taking sanyasa.but there was a meaning of buddha going to jungle leaving leaving all mundane blendishments.
